You pay for the people who organize.

Contals is free for teams with up to 5 full members. Paid plans cost CHF 4.50 / €4.50 / $4.50 (Team) or CHF 9 / €9 / $9 (Business) per full member and month with annual billing – CHF 54 / €54 / $54 and CHF 108 / €108 / $108 a year – or CHF 5.50 / €5.50 / $5.50 and CHF 11 / €11 / $11 with monthly billing. Prices are early-access prices and become final before the public launch.

Swiss francs (CHF), euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD). Contals suggests the currency of your billing country – CHF for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, EUR for the EEA and the UK, USD everywhere else – and you can pick another one at your first checkout. A subscription keeps its currency. Prices exclude VAT or sales tax; Stripe Tax adds what applies to your billing address.

Yes, on every plan and on any number of boards. Free roles comment, tick checklist items and mark the cards assigned to them as done, but cannot create or restructure boards, so they never count as seats.

No. A full member is counted once per organization, however many workspaces they belong to.

Yes. Nonprofit pricing is on request, for churches and charities: registered churches, charities and associations ask for it on their organization’s billing page and get the Team plan free for up to 15 full members and 50 % off paid plans beyond that. We review each request.

Yes. Paid plans run until the end of the billing period; afterwards your organization falls back to the free plan and nothing is deleted. An organization is deleted only when one of its owners asks for it.

E-mail is the largest cost, so on the free plan notifications arrive in the app and by push, with a weekly summary e-mail – at most 200 notification e-mails per organization and month, the summaries included (sign-in links, confirmations and invitations never count). The free plan stores 1 GB with files up to 10 MB, runs rules and card repeaters 500 times a month and sends up to 50 e-mail invitations a day – joining through an invite link is not counted. A free organization nobody uses for 90 days is paused – read-only, nothing deleted – until an owner signs in again; owners hear about it two weeks before. Links on public poll and booking pages are clickable once the organization pays or is approved as a nonprofit.

The free plan stores 1 GB per organization, with files up to 10 MB. On Team every paid full member adds 10 GB to one shared pool – at least 50 GB, however small the team; on Business 25 GB each, at least 250 GB. Files can be up to 100 MB on both. Volunteers, guests and viewers add nothing to the pool and cost nothing.

Each time a rule of the Automation Power-Up or a card repeater changes something – moves a card, sets a label, creates the repeated card. A rule whose conditions do not hold costs nothing. The free plan includes 500 runs per organization and month, Team 5,000, Business any number. When the month’s runs are used up, rules and repeaters pause until the next month: the Power-Up page and the board admins’ inbox say so, and the run log shows what was skipped.

No metered AI credits. Your organization connects its own AI provider (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic or Google Gemini) and pays it directly; the assistant and the AI on cards are included in every plan, the free plan too. Your own assistant can also work with Contals through the public API and the MCP server.

Contals shows a notice with the way to upgrade, and nothing is deleted. When a paid plan ends, boards and members above the free limits stay and keep working; only growth is blocked until you upgrade again.

Billing through Stripe – Checkout, invoices, VAT and sales tax through Stripe Tax and a customer portal – is built and switches on with the public launch. Until then Contals is in early access and nothing is charged.
