Your home page – what matters to you today

The home page starts with For you: what is due for you today, what comes in the next days, what waits for your answer and what changed on your boards – across every organization and workspace you belong to. Your recent and favorite boards come first, the boards of your workspaces follow below. Sections with nothing in them fold into one line (“Nothing right now in …”), so your boards stay on the first screen – also on a phone. It only ever shows boards you can open.

  • Today and overdue – cards and checklist items assigned to you that are due today, with their time when they have one, and those that are Overdue (the most recent first, with their count). Today’s bookings you host and today’s poll dates are here too. All your cards opens My cards.
  • Next 7 days – a short agenda of the coming week: due dates of your cards and checklist items, bookings you host and the final dates of date polls you answered or whose card is assigned to you. Days without entries are left out. A date poll’s final date that is also its card’s due date shows once, with its time.
  • For you to answer – unread items in your Inbox (assignments, comments on your cards and more), Date polls without your answer on boards you follow, and Invitations to a workspace or board. A click opens the card and marks the inbox item as read; Open the inbox shows all of them.
  • Changes on your boards – boards whose newest status update is At risk or Off track (Needs attention), and boards that others changed since your last visit: how many cards are new, moved or done, comments, due dates and status updates, and by how many people. Your own changes do not count.
  • Recent and favorite boards – your favorites and the boards you opened last.

“Your boards” are the boards you are a member of, your favorites and the boards you opened in the last 90 days.

Times are shown in your device’s time zone: “today” is your today, and a timed entry sits on its day where you are – also across the switch to and from summer time.

In your first weeks, if you run a workspace (as its owner or admin), Getting started above the sections lists five first steps: Create a board of your own, Invite your team, Give a card a due date, Try a Power-Up and Subscribe to your cards in your calendar. Each step ticks itself when it is really done – a board in your workspace besides the starter board (templates in the gallery do not count), someone else in the workspace or an open invitation or working invite link, a card with a due date on one of those boards, a Power-Up beyond the due dates every board starts with, your own calendar subscription. Each open step is a link that takes you there – “Give a card a due date” and “Try a Power-Up” to your newest board (or the starter board), with the next step’s hint below the list.

The list disappears when all steps are done, or when you click Hide this list – it does not come back. It is not shown in the simple view, to volunteers, viewers and guests, or after the first 30 days.

  1. Choose Customize next to “For you”.
  2. Switch a section off with Show, or move it with the arrows. Changes are saved right away – for you, on every device.
  3. Reset brings back the standard order; Done closes the settings.

A hidden section is not loaded at all. If you hide every section, the boards remain.

Cards on a confidential board appear without their title: you see the board’s key and the card number (for example “Card on a confidential board · CARE-12”), and the board’s status text is left out. Open the card to read it.

Card numbers such as GEM-12 appear only on boards that show them: when a board admin switches off Show card numbers in the board settings, the home page leaves them out for that board too.

In the simple view the home page shows Today, Next 7 days, Waiting for your answer and your boards, with larger targets. The board changes are left out; you can still hide and order the sections.

When your organization has its own AI model switched on and allows the feature Summarize my week (home page), the button Summarize my week writes a short summary of your week. The feature is off until an owner or admin switches it on in the organization’s AI settings. Only when you click it: it sends the titles and dates of your entries and the numbers of the other sections – no names and nothing from confidential boards; checklist item texts only when the organization’s data policy allows Checklists, status texts only when it allows Card descriptions. Nothing is changed.

The read-only tool get_my_overview (REST: GET /api/public/v1/me/overview) returns the same overview for a personal access token, with the token’s scopes. Confidential boards are not included, and neither are invitations.
