Card details sidebar

Card details open in a sidebar on the right side of the board, not in a dialog: the lists stay visible and the board keeps updating while you read or write.

  • Open: click the small icon at the top right of a card, or the row at the bottom of the card with the card number and the badges (on a board that hides card numbers, a small details icon stands there when nothing else does). With the keyboard, focus a card and press Enter. (A click on the title edits the title instead.)
  • Close: the close button in the sidebar or Escape.
  • Link to a card: every card has its own address (for example …/b/summer-fete-brd_…/c/gem-4-cakes-crd_…). Copy it from the address bar and share it; people with access land directly on the card.

Which sections you can change depends on your role: volunteers and guests comment, tick checklist items or take one with I’ll do it, vote and mark the cards assigned to them as done.

On narrow screens the sidebar takes the full width. Use Move to list to move cards – dragging on touch screens needs a long press and is not available in every browser. In the simple view, the card details open as a full page with fewer sections.

Links to cards in e-mails open a fast, server-rendered view first, so they show content quickly even on a slow phone, then the app takes over.
