Filter a board
The board filter shows only the cards that match – even on boards with thousands of cards. Type into Filter cards in the board header (or press F – single-key shortcuts can be turned off in your profile), or open Filters next to it for everything else. Escape clears the filter.
Filter by text
Section titled “Filter by text”Type words from a card title, or a card number such as GEM-12. Every word must appear in the title; upper and lower case and accents do not matter. Lists without matching cards step aside while the filter is on, and the header shows how many cards match: 12 of 340 cards.
Filter by label, member, due date and more
Section titled “Filter by label, member, due date and more”Open Filters in the board header. The filter opens below the header and pushes the lists down – nothing covers the board.
- Labels – cards with any of the chosen labels, or with all of them (switch between any and all). No labels finds cards without one.
- Members – Me, Nobody (unassigned cards) or anyone with access to the board.
- Due date – Overdue (before today – or, with a time, past it – and not done), Today, This week, Next week (weeks start on Monday) or No date. Needs the due dates Power-Up.
- Status – Open or Done; Stale finds open cards without any activity for as long as the board’s stale setting says (board settings, for example 30 days). The filter and the hourglass on the cards follow the same rule.
- Checklist items – cards with an open checklist item assigned to you (or to someone, or to nobody), and/or due (overdue, today, this week, with a date).
- Custom fields – per field: Has a value, Empty, or a value: text contains, a number range, a date range, dropdown options, checked or not.
- Show – archived cards and snoozed cards are hidden; show them too, or show only them. An archived card shows Archived and can be restored in its details.
By default a card must match all conditions; switch to any condition at the bottom of the filter. The active conditions stay visible as chips under the header – click × on a chip to remove one, or Clear filters to remove all.
Share a filtered board
Section titled “Share a filtered board”The filter is part of the page address. Copy the address to share exactly this view; the back button undoes your last filter change.
Saved filters
Section titled “Saved filters”- Set up the filter.
- Under Saved filters, type a name and click Save filter.
- Tick Share with everyone on this board to save it for the whole board (editors and admins). Without it, the filter is yours only and follows you on every device.
Click a saved filter to apply it. If you change an applied filter, Update saves the change. × deletes a saved filter (board filters: editors and admins).
Search across boards by custom field
Section titled “Search across boards by custom field”The search finds custom field values too. Text fields are searched like titles; for other fields use Field:value, for example Status:ordered, Amount>=100 or "Event date":2026-12-01..2026-12-31.
