Workspace settings

The workspace settings page manages the workspace’s name, members and their roles, pending invitations, the Power-Ups for new boards, its boards, imports and the workspace export. Open it via your avatar → the workspace; owners and admins can make changes.

  • Name of the workspace.
  • Data region: where the workspace’s data is stored (EU), shown with the organization the workspace belongs to.
  • Add people by e-mail and choose a role: Owner, Admin, Member, Volunteer or Viewer. Everyone gets an invitation and joins when they accept. See invitations and roles.
  • Change a role with the selector next to a person; changes apply immediately, also to open sessions.
  • The last owner cannot leave or be demoted – hand over ownership first.
  • Pending invitations: send again or withdraw.

Choose which Power-Ups are switched on when someone creates a board in this workspace. Existing boards keep their own choice.

The list of the workspace’s boards with their key and visibility. Owners and admins manage private boards – members, visibility, invitations, deletion – without seeing their content. Open (logged) gives them access to a private board; the board’s members see that in its activity.

Open import brings boards from Trello, Asana, Jira, monday.com, ClickUp, Notion, Wekan or any spreadsheet – see switch from Trello and import from other tools. Full members can import; volunteers and viewers cannot.

The workspace’s own templates appear in the template gallery (Templates next to the workspace’s name on the home page), and Dashboard and Calendar show all its boards at once – see templates and dashboard, calendar and filters.

Owners and admins open Webhooks to send board events to other services: every board visible to the whole workspace, or one board each. See webhooks, Zapier and Make.

Owners and admins export all boards of the workspace that they can read, plus members and pending invitations. Private boards you cannot read are not included – open them first (that is logged). Every export is logged. See data export.

Deleting a workspace deletes all its boards. It is not self-service yet: Ask support to delete this workspace opens an e-mail to support@contals.com with the workspace’s ID; export what you want to keep first. If you delete your account as the only owner, Contals asks what should happen to the workspace – see account deletion.
