# Dashboard, calendar and filters across boards

> See every board of a workspace at once – a dashboard with open, overdue and done cards and each board's status, a calendar with every due date, filters that work across boards – status updates with a weekly reminder and a printable report, and due dates in your calendar app.

The workspace views show all boards of a workspace in one place: the **Dashboard** with open, overdue and done cards and each board's status, the **Calendar** with every due date, and **Filters** that find cards on every board. They only ever show boards you can open, and they are part of every plan, the free plan too.

## Open the views

- On the home page, choose **Dashboard** or **Calendar** next to a workspace's name.
- On any board, choose **Overview** in the board header.
- Switch between **Dashboard**, **Calendar** and **Filters** with the tabs at the top. Every view has its own address, so you can bookmark or share it.

Guests see the views of the boards they were invited to. A private board stays invisible to workspace owners and admins who are not members of it – no title, no card, no count.

## Dashboard

- At the top: **Open cards**, **Overdue**, **Done this week** and the **Status** – the worst status among the boards that posted one.
- Per board the same numbers and its newest status update; boards that need attention come first. **Details** opens a board in place: **Cards per list**, **Open cards per label**, **Open cards per person** and its latest status updates.
- **Open cards per person, all boards**, the **Overdue cards** and the cards **Not touched for** a number of days you choose.
- **My work across boards** lists your cards and checklist items, and **Saved filters** opens your filters.

The dashboard counts from a central index that follows each change within seconds; it refreshes when you come back to the page.

## Calendar

- Card due dates (on boards with the Due dates Power-Up) and dated checklist items, each with its time (timed entries sorted by it; a card with a start shows where it begins), bookings and the final dates of date polls (with the chosen time) – each board in its own color. Click a board in the legend to hide it.
- Poll dates appear only while their Power-Up is on for the board. A poll's final date that is also its card's due date shows once.
- **Month** on tablets and computers, **Agenda** on phones (or whenever you prefer it). **Today** jumps back.
- Click an entry to open the card.
- **Drag** a card or checklist item to another day to move its due date – on boards where you may edit. Without dragging: open the card and change its due date there. Bookings and poll dates are changed on their card.
- **Filter** above the calendar shows only the cards of one of your saved filters (poll dates count when their card matches); **Show all** brings everything back.

## Filters across boards

1. Open the **Filters** tab and pick labels, custom fields, people (including yourself), due dates, status, stale cards, checklist items or words.
2. The matching cards of every board appear, grouped by board. Labels and fields count by their name, so a label "Christmas" matches on every board that has a label with that name.
3. **Save filter** gives it a name. Only you see your saved filters.

A saved filter opens with its results and its conditions as chips; **Edit conditions** opens the editor in place, and **Save changes** keeps them. **Show in the calendar** narrows the calendar to the filter's cards. A filter that cannot find cards by itself – "done" alone, for example – says so; add a label, a person, a due date or a field value.

To filter a single board, use the [board filter](/docs/en/boards/filters/).

## Status updates

Editors and admins post a short status for their board: board header → **Status** → **New status update** → **On track**, **At risk** or **Off track**, with an optional text → **Post status**. The newest status shows as a colored pill in the board header and on the dashboard; the history stays below on the status page. The author or a board admin can delete an update – its text then also leaves the board history. Everyone else on the board reads the status.

## Weekly status reminder

A status only helps while it is current. When a board's newest status update is older than a week, its admins get a reminder – "Time for a status update – the last one is 8 days old" – in their inbox and, as each of them set it, by e-mail or push (notification settings → **Reminders to post a status**; in the app and by e-mail by default, quiet hours apply). A click opens the board's status page.

- Reminders start a week after a board's first status update – a board that never posted one gets none – and come once a week, at most four weeks in a row. The next status update starts them again.
- On the status page, **Weekly reminder** shows when the next one is due. Board admins switch it off or on with **Remind the board's admins weekly**; everyone else sees the setting.
- Only admins who can still post a status are reminded. On a confidential board the reminder never names the board on a lock screen or in an e-mail.

## Status report

The **Report** tab (next to **Dashboard**, **Calendar** and **Filters**) shows the newest status of every board of the workspace that you can open, on one page – for a board of directors or the leadership:

- At the top the date and a summary ("6 boards: 1 off track, 2 at risk, 2 on track, 1 without a status"); then the boards, those off track first and those without a status last.
- Per board its status with the text, who posted it and when – marked **older than a week** when it is – and its numbers: open, overdue (on boards with due dates) and done this week. A click on a board's name opens its status page.
- A confidential board shows only its key and its status, never its title or text.

**Print or save as PDF** opens your browser's print dialog; the printout leaves out the app's header, the tabs and the buttons. The report is a page for the workspace's members, not a public link – invite the leadership as viewers (free on every plan) if they should read along.

## Subscribe in your calendar app

Due dates can appear in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar:

- **Your own due dates:** profile → **Calendar subscriptions** → **My cards and checklist items** – every card and checklist item assigned to you that has a due date, from all your boards.
- **A whole board:** board settings → **Calendar subscription** – every due date of the board.

Choose **Create calendar link**, then copy the link (it is shown only once) or use the buttons next to **Add to:**. **New link** replaces the link at once; **Turn off** stops it. The link follows your access: it stops working when you lose access to the board. Calendar apps refresh on their own schedule – Google about every 8 to 24 hours, Outlook every few hours, Apple as set for the subscription.
