The profile page holds everything about you personally: name, sign-in methods, password, two-factor sign-in and passkeys, theme, language, the simple view, signed-in devices, calendar subscriptions, API tokens, notifications and account deletion. Open it via your avatar (top right) → **Profile and settings**.

## Name, sign-in methods, password and two-factor sign-in

- **Your name** is shown to your team on cards, comments and in the members list.
- **Sign-in methods** lists your password, the providers you connected (such as Google or Microsoft) and single sign-on. Connect or disconnect providers there – see [sign-in methods and SSO](/docs/en/settings/sign-in/).
- **Password:** enter the current password and a new one (at least 10 characters). You can sign out your other devices at the same time. Accounts that came through a provider can **Set a password**.
- **Two-factor sign-in** adds a code from an authenticator app to your sign-ins, with recovery codes; **Passkeys** sign you in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN – see [two-factor sign-in and passkeys](/docs/en/settings/two-factor/).

## Appearance and language

- **Theme:** System (follows your device), Light, Dark, High contrast or Sepia.
- **Language:** English, Deutsch, Deutsch (Schweiz), Français, Italiano or Español. Your choice is stored in a cookie shared with the website, so contals.com and the docs follow it too. Without a choice, Contals uses your browser’s language. French, Italian and Spanish are being translated: a text that is not translated yet shows in English, and the docs open in English for these languages.

## Accessibility: simple view and shortcuts

In the section **Accessibility**, turn on **Use the simple view** for fewer buttons, larger text and larger buttons (at least 44 pixels), plain words and card details as a full page on phones. Boards then show what helpers need: your cards, opening a card, ticking checklist items, taking one with **I’ll do it**, comments, marking a card done, votes and date polls. Setting up boards, labels and Power-Ups stays in the full view.

The simple view is on from the start for volunteers, viewers and guests; they see a short note with **Keep it** and **Show all features** the first time. Everyone can switch here at any time. More in [simple view and accessibility](/docs/en/settings/simple-view/).

**Single-key shortcuts** (on by default): `/` opens the search and `F` the board filter. Turn them off if you use speech input or press keys by accident; `⌘K` / `Ctrl K` keeps working. See also the [keyboard shortcuts](/docs/en/reference/keyboard-shortcuts/) and the [accessibility statement](https://contals.com/en/accessibility/).

## This device and signed-in devices

- **This is a shared device:** turn it on for computers that others use too (for example the church office). Contals then keeps no copies of boards in this browser, and offline reading is off.
- **Signed-in devices** lists every device where you are signed in. **Sign out other devices** ends all other sessions at once – their open boards disconnect immediately.

## Calendar subscriptions

**Calendar subscriptions** → **My cards and checklist items** creates a secret link with every card and checklist item assigned to you that has a due date, for Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. The section also lists the board subscriptions you created. See [subscribe in your calendar app](/docs/en/views/across-boards/#subscribe-in-your-calendar-app).

## API tokens

**API tokens** are personal keys for scripts, integrations and AI agents that use the REST API or the MCP server. **New token** → a name, the scopes, optionally one workspace and an expiry → **Create token**; the token is shown only once. A token can never do more than you can. **Revoke** stops it at once. See [API and MCP server](/docs/en/ai/api/).

## Notifications

The in-app [inbox](/docs/en/finding/inbox/) collects assignments and comments. **Summary e-mail and notifications** opens the notification settings: for each kind of notification in the app, by push or by e-mail, push on this device, quiet hours, due reminders, and the summary e-mail (off, daily or weekly, the day and time, your time zone, and what it includes). If you unsubscribed through the link in an e-mail, the page says so and offers to turn the e-mails on again. See [notifications](/docs/en/finding/notifications/).

## Delete your account

At the bottom of the page. See [account deletion](/docs/en/data/account-deletion/).
