The audit log records who changed what in your organization: roles and invitations, board access, emergency access, exports, deletions, single sign-on, two-factor sign-in, billing, settings and every opening of a confidential board. Owners and admins of the organization open it from the organization settings → **Audit log** → **Open the audit log**. It is part of every plan.

## What an entry shows

Each entry says **When**, **Who** and **What** – for example "changed the role of Ben" or "opened the confidential board CARE through a card link". Actions of Contals itself show **Contals** as the person; people who deleted their account show as **Deleted user**. Invited addresses appear only with their domain (`…@example.org`), and confidential boards with their key instead of their title. The log holds no card content.

An opening of a confidential board is listed once per person, board, way (on the board, through a card link, by an export) and hour.

## Filter and page through

1. Choose a **Person** (or **Everyone**) and a **Type** (or **All types**).
2. Set **From** and **To** if you want a period, then choose **Apply**. **Reset filters** clears them.
3. The newest entries come first; **Show older entries** loads the next ones.

The types are **Roles and invitations**, **Board access**, **Break-glass and emergency access**, **Exports**, **Deletions**, **Single sign-on**, **Two-factor sign-in and access**, **Billing and plan**, **Settings**, **Openings of confidential boards** and **Other**.

## Download as CSV

**Download as CSV** saves the filtered entries – at most 5,000 – as a CSV file for your own records. The download itself is recorded in the log.

## Who can see it

Only owners and admins of the organization; for everyone else the page says so. The page shows the entries of the last 180 days.
