# Date polls and booking pages

> Find a date with a poll on a card – guests vote with a public link, without an account – and let people book free time slots on a public booking page; each booking becomes a card with a due date.

Two Power-Ups of the category Scheduling replace a separate poll or booking tool: **Date poll** finds a date on a card, **Booking page** lets people book a free time slot. Board admins switch them on under **Power-Ups**; both switch on **Due dates** with them.

## Date poll

1. Open a card → **Find a date** → add days or time slots (in a time zone you choose) → **Create poll**.
2. Board members vote right in the card details: **Yes**, **If need be** or **No**.
3. For people outside the board, choose **Create public link** and share it. Guests vote with their name, without an account; an e-mail address is optional and only used to send them the final date.
4. Answers arrive live. The best options are highlighted, and a table shows who answered what.
5. **Pick** the final date: the poll closes, the date becomes the card's due date, and a calendar file (`.ics`) is offered. Guests who left an address get the date by e-mail – their address is deleted right after.

Options: show results only after voting, a limit per option, a maximum number of participants, a deadline (**Vote until**), comments on the poll. The board page **Polls** lists every poll of the board. A board admin can forbid public links: **Allow public links** on the Power-Ups page.

## Booking page

1. Board header → **Bookings** → **New booking type**: a name, the **Duration**, a **Location or video link**, **Weekly hours** with **Exceptions** for single dates, buffers before and after, a minimum notice, a maximum per day, the start-time step, how far ahead people can book, the list new bookings go to, and **Questions for the booker**.
2. **Create public link** and share it.
3. On the public page, visitors pick a day and a free time – shown in their own time zone – and book with their name and e-mail address.
4. Each booking becomes a card in the chosen list with the booking's day as its due date (the time is shown in the booking, the workspace calendar and the calendar file), and the slot disappears for the next visitor. The booker gets a confirmation e-mail with a calendar file and a link to reschedule or cancel; the hosts get an inbox item.

Board members see the booking in the card details; editors and admins also see the booker's name, e-mail address and answers (they are kept apart from the board, so viewers, volunteers and guests never receive them) and can cancel the booking (the booker is told by e-mail). Admins can **Erase personal data** early: the details are deleted, the card gets a neutral title such as "Initial meeting · data erased" and its earlier titles disappear from the board history. Otherwise the details are deleted automatically 90 days after the appointment. A poll guest's e-mail address is used only for the final-date e-mail and is deleted after it, or at the latest 90 days after the poll's last date.

## Who sees what on the public pages

- Every public poll, booking page and public board says who is behind it: your organization's name (with a single workspace, the workspace's name). The booker's confirmation e-mail names it too.
- On a public poll, board members appear by their first names ("Anna"); switch off **Only first names on the public page** in the poll's settings to show full names. Guests read that the name they enter is visible to everyone with the link. A date someone has not answered shows as "–", not as **No**.
- A booking's card is titled with the booking type's name only. Switch on **Booker’s name in the card title** in the booking type for titles like "Initial meeting · Max Muster" – then everyone on the board sees who booked. For sensitive appointments such as pastoral care or counselling, use a private board that only the people holding these appointments can open.
- Time zones show as city and offset, for example "Zurich (UTC+2)".

## Links and Report abuse on public pages

- Web addresses in your texts on the public pages – the description of a poll or a booking type, a place – are clickable when your organization pays for a plan or has approved nonprofit pricing. Otherwise they show as text, with a note to check an address before opening it ([what the free plan leaves out](/docs/en/settings/billing/#what-the-free-plan-leaves-out)). Visitors' comments never become links.
- At the end of every public poll and booking page, **Report abuse** opens a short form in place: what is wrong (**Spam or advertising**, **Phishing or a scam**, **Illegal content** or **Something else**), optional details without personal data, then **Send report**. Contals does not ask who reports, stores no address or IP address of the person reporting, and looks at the page.
- While a free organization is paused, its public pages take no new entries ([when a free organization is paused](/docs/en/settings/billing/#when-a-free-organization-is-paused)).
